Andre Mailloux, a chicken-raiser we spoke to in “What’s the Big Clucking Deal?” (Sept/Oct 09 issue), is allowed to keep his chickens… for now.

Despite a new bylaw that prohibits keeping birds on one’s property, the village council in Welwyn, SK, has decided not to take immediate action against Mailloux, who’s been raising chickens there for 5 years.
